CEO

Austin recently received his J.D. from the University of Mississippi where his primary focus was Air and Space law. Previously, he co-founded CognitZEN, a B2B machine learning and education technology business that used gamification to teach argumentation and public speaking.

CTO

Drew has a Master's in Machine Learning and 9 years of experience in the field. He has a love for all things Machine Learning, researching novel regularization methods in his (limited) free time. Over the years, Drew has developed products using various approaches within Machine Learning, such as Reinforcement Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Computer Vision.

Software Engineer

Penny is a software engineer with years of experience working with data in a complex technical environment and securing funding competitively. With a PhD in Physical Chemistry, she spent over a decade pursing research related to Antarctic clouds before joining 2nd Chair.

Safwan is a computer science graduate experienced in Data Science and Machine Learning. He has been part of early-stage startups where he developed data and machine learning solutions in domains like agriculture, eCommerce and aerial imagery.

Business Development

Neal Chandra is a seasoned executive with over five decades of experience in global IT, enterprise security software, mobile computing, and telecom industries. He has held executive positions at Texas Instruments, General Electric, and Fairchild Semiconductors and is currently the Co-Founder and CEO/CTO of CySecure, a company providing trusted authentication services.

Advisor

Dr. America Chambers is an associate professor in the Mathematics and Computer Science Department at the University of Puget Sound. Her research focuses on machine learning, natural language processing, and statistical models of text.

Tony Mullen is a teaching professor at Northeastern University and has been active in natural language processing, computational linguistics, and machine learning research for over 20 years at institutions including the National Institute of Informatics in Japan and the University of Groningen, Netherlands, as well as several start-ups.

Evan is a graduating senior from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management. He is a finance major with experience in strategic marketing at a satellite communications company. Evan has a strong passion for how machine learning, AI, robotics, and other transformational technologies are effectively integrated into enterprises.

Jiawen is a Computer Science graduate student with a background in Linguistics. Her background combines computational linguistics, AI, and machine learning, with a focus on Natural Language Processing. She is passionate about bridging the gap between language and technology to create impactful AI solutions.

MBA Intern

Austen is an MBA student at Boise State University, after graduating in 2023 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He is interested in all things Law and AI, and is passionate about working with people and problem solving. He also enjoys competing as a long distance runner in cross country and track.

Currently pursuing an MBA at Boise State University, Michael specializes in data analysis. He is also working on an NSF project leveraging data to drive insights and improve outcomes. Previously, he worked at Micron, where he contributed to technical industry roadmaps and strategy development.

After graduating with a BBA with a Sustainability minor and a Certificate in Business Analytics from Boise State in 2023, Jackson continues to pursue his academic journey as a current MBA student. He has previously worked with AI startups and is also currently an intern for the Horseshoe Collective.

With a passion for startups and innovative solutions, he focuses on strategy, organizational development, and fostering inclusive workplace cultures. Andrew has experience in project management, corporate engagement, and data-driven decision-making.
